GOTV - Get Out The Vote - Get out the vote is a phase in the election cycle that typically begins after the voter registration deadline. After this point, you can not add new voters to the roles and it is time to educate the voters on when where, and how they can cast their ballot.

VAN- Voter Activation Network. VAN

MiniVAN - Mini Van is an app for portable devices to canvass with. it will use a GPS map and a script to allow canvassers to message volunteers and record the results. [ Iphone/Ipad | Android ]

Touch - A political term that is used to describe every time a voter is successfully contacted with an election message

Block Walk - When volunteers/Precinct Chairs go door to door messaging voters.

Turf - An designated area for door to door voter messaging

Cutting Turf - Creating a packet for volunteers to use that contains a script, a map, and a list of voters to message door to door.
